SJS Accounting is staffed with bookkeepers who specialize in QuickBooks. We understand the program and are continuously expanding our knowledge in the software with the training modules that are released. SJS Accounting is part of the Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program.
What does this mean to our customers? This means that we have access to information and training as new updates are introduced, we have training programs as we hire new employees, and we have additional resources and support from QuickBooks. We are in the Elite program which is the highest tier that QuickBooks offers.
Being a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor allows us to continue our education with regular training opportunities. This is something our firm strongly believes in. We allow additional time to complete the training for our employees.

About Us
Sara Slabinski - Owner / Accountant / Bookkeeper
Prior to SJS Accounting LLC, I worked for a financial institution for 8 years. This is where I found my passion for helping and working with small businesses. While working for the financial institution, I received my Degree in Business with an emphasis in Management. Shortly after receiving my degree, I found a job with a small cell phone tower company as their staff accountant.
SJS Accounting started because of a business owner who saw my passion for small businesses. This encouragement allowed me to establish the company in 2017 and receive my first client shortly after. Bookkeeping allows me to help small businesses with their financial needs. Combining my banking experience with my bookkeeping experience gives me an advantage to helping small businesses with financial planning, business budgeting, and projections.
My husband and I have 2 wonderful boys. Sports and outdoor activities are our favorite activities. We are a family oriented small business.

Alyssa Hartman - Payroll Manager
Hello! I have 12+ years experience in Small Business General Management. I worked my way into Management the old fashioned way - from entry level all the way up to the top. I've always craved obtaining new skills. I have worn many hats during my career in business management, but I most thoroughly enjoy specializing in Payroll and Human Resource services.
I was born in Minnesota on a hobby farm, and have participated in many horse shows and rodeos throughout my life. My husband I, along with our two wonderful children, live in the Queen Creek area on a growing mini-ranch. We enjoy everything outdoors from camping and fishing, to hiking and horseback riding.
Now that I have joined the SJS family, I am so thrilled to be able to focus on what I enjoy the most: Close knit business relationships with my clients, providing an intimate one-on-one atmosphere with the ease of our one-stop-shop values. Currently, I am providing Payroll processing services, as well as employee hours tracking and paid time off tracking. I look forward to broadening my services offered, based on client needs that come up in the future.
Dominique - Workforce Development Manager
I began working in the accounting field in 2013 while still in high school, helping my grandma with her business, LKM Accounting. She was a Certified Public Accountant and Notary, and through that work, I became familiar with the bookkeeping process for small businesses. I developed a deep appreciation for the important role these businesses play in our community.Since 2018, I have been part of the SJS Accounting team and have been grateful to witness and contribute to our growth. I take great pride and find a strong sense of purpose in supporting my clients—ensuring their financials are accurate so they can continue providing valuable services to our community. Currently, I am an accounting student at Chandler Gilbert Community College. I enjoy painting and long distance running. I have a loving family which includes my mother, Rachel, and sister, Araceli.
Katrina- Director of Operations
I grew up working for my family in various small businesses and began my career after college working for a small garden arts store as the manager, bookkeeper, payroll, and benefits administrator. After 10 years in small business, I went to work for a large multi-national imbedded service provider to one of the World’s largest aerospace corporations, providing basically the same services on a larger scale. While each business is unique, one truth remained consistent throughout – businesses with a strong bookkeeping and accounting foundation thrive. At SJS Accounting each team member knows this and it makes them dig deeper, question more, and actively engage with clients to ensure they are in the best possible position to succeed. I am happy to be joining SJS Accounting and look forward to being a part of that effort.
Kristen - Director of Client Relations
I bring a diverse professional background and a passion for building authentic connections to my role at SJS Accounting. With expertise in relationship building, client retention, business development, and networking strategies, my career spans the restaurant industry, property management, and franchise development—where I launched and supported nearly 100 locations nationwide. This experience sparked my passion for working with small businesses and cultivating growth opportunities. After relocating from California to Arizona in 2020, I served as Sales and Marketing Manager for a property restoration contractor, then as Public Engagement Coordinator for a behavioral health clinic, focusing on outreach, resources, and organizational culture. My connection with SJS began through networking with owner Sara, which ultimately led me to join the team in January 2025—a role I’m truly thrilled about.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about volunteering with nonprofits and initiatives that strengthen the community. I’m a devoted wife and mom, a creative event planner and decorator, and an adventurer who loves making memories with my family. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and have two amazing children—our daughter is pursuing a career in aviation, and our son enjoys tackle football and wrestling.
Fun Fact: My husband and I met while playing in a billiards tournament in Huntington Beach, CA.
Lynn
During my career I've worked in electronic sales/management, semiconductor manufacturing, accounting, college administration, and co-owned a commercial construction subcontracting company. Out of all the jobs I've held, one has drawn me back again and again, and that's accounting. I appreciate the time and effort our clients put in every day to keep their business viable while wearing so many hats. It's a difficult and time-consuming process to keep all of the balls in the air and your eyes on the business. Our goal at SJS Accounting is to take those accounting tasks off our client's desk by making sure that their financial records are done properly and that they have readily available visibility and easy access to communication about their company's financial health. At SJS Accounting, we see our clients' needs as our top priority and I'm proud to work with such an honest and hard working group.
Cody
I spent most of my adult life in the military or working with the military as a civilian. In 2021, I decided it was time to change my career path. I worked for another small bookkeeping business learning the tricks of the trade and expanding my knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting, and tax preparing. While working at SJS Accounting I have been able to continue to learn and grow in bookkeeping. I am currently looking into schooling and the possibility of a second bachelor's degree in accounting, or something related to bookkeeping. During my down time I enjoy playing tabletop games, weightlifting, and going on adventures with my wife, new daughter, and our 6-year-old black lab.

I began my career in retail, where I spent over six years building strong customer service and organizational skills. That experience laid the foundation for my transition into the accounting field, and I was fortunate to join SJS Accounting LLC, where I’ve grown my expertise in bookkeeping.
I truly love what I do and feel grateful to work with such a supportive team and amazing clients. I’m excited to continue learning, sharpening my skills, and contributing to a company I genuinely enjoy being part of.
Outside of work, I live in Queen Creek with my boyfriend and our four children. We're an active, athletic family who loves staying busy and spending time outdoors. Whether it's playing and watching sports, riding UTVs, camping, or cooling off at local water parks.

I am a previous business owner and have a passion for helping other business owners. I specialize in sales tax for SJS Accounting and enjoy helping solve problems while making things easier for my customers. I have an amazing daughter and two wonderful grandsons. I enjoy spending time with my family.
Tyler
I grew up in Indiana for half of my life before moving to North Dakota. I finished up Highschool in North Dakota and decided to move to Arizona to get back to being in the city. My family has always been close, however most of them live in different states. My mother is the only family that lives in Arizona, but my roommates might as well be my siblings with how close we are.
I grew up being active, so I love playing sports in my free time. Due to the Arizona heat wiping me out, I tend to enjoy staying inside to play video games as my other form of enjoyment. Before working at SJS Accounting, I was a baker at Panera for 3 years. I enjoyed my time there learning, but I decided I wanted to learn a bit about bookkeeping. This led me to a job at SJS Accounting and learning the ins and outs of bookkeeping along with the software used.
Shirley
I have spent half of my professional career in Corporate Finance. I learned to be detail oriented and grew a passion for helping others get things in order. Soon after, I joined my Fiancée in starting an exciting business in California. I helped with the Bookkeeping and fell in love with the process. I quickly learned that procedure and organization is what brings a sense of calm in my life.
In 2023 l had an opportunity to sell the Business and move to Arizona. It was the best thing that happened. I’m blessed now to work at SJS Accounting, where I can do what I love.
I live in San Tan Valley with my Fiancée, Son, and our Cat & Labrador.
In my free time I love to Sew, watch Paranormal Shows, and go camping with my small family.
Kambria
Hi! I am Kambria. Before joining the team at SJS, I worked at UPS, where I was responsible for a variety of administrative and paperwork related tasks. When I was offered the opportunity to become part of SJS, I was incredibly excited-even though I had limited experience in accounting at the time. Over the past few months in my position as an Assistant Bookkeeper, I have grown both professionally and personally. I’ve gained valuable knowledge in bookkeeping and accounting practices, and I’ve built strong relationships with my colleagues that feel more like family.
Originally from California, I moved to Arizona with my family at the age of 11. I went on to complete both elementary and middle school here, and I am currently a junior at Higley High School. In addition to my high school studies, I attended EVIT (East Valley Institute of Technology), where I am enrolled in the Aviation program. I aspire to pursue a career as a pilot in the future. Outside of work and school, I enjoy playing the piano, staying organized, and spending quality time with friends and family.

My family has owned a small business for as long as I can remember. My father during the summers would have me help at the family store where I learned the importance of a hard day’s work. Consequently, I’ve had a job ever since I was 12. I graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2017, joined the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, and was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. I served active duty for 6 years, 5 years overseas, and over the past year I have transitioned to the Naval Reserves as a Supply Corps Officer. My hobbies include playing with my newborn son, watching shows with my wife, weightlifting, and watch collecting.

I recently moved to Arizona from Colorado with my girlfriend and our pets and we have really enjoyed it so far. I love soccer, I always have. My favorite team is Real Madrid, the biggest club in the world. I really enjoy watching the sport and learning about the tactics behind plays and enjoy the coaching aspect now more than playing. I also collect jerseys from different players and teams.
Prior to SJS Accounting I worked in several industries, including the travel industry and auto sales. I love expanding my knowledge and always aim to be good at what I do; this job has so many ins and outs that are yet to be learned and mastered. I’m incredibly excited to be a part of SJS Accounting and for this opportunity to grow professionally and find success in what I do.

I am a Bookkeeping professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a strong background in both Accounting and Insurance. Originally from Texas, I have called Arizona home since 2015. I am passionate about helping businesses stay organized and financially healthy, bringing a detail-oriented and dependable approach to every client I work with. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my 3 daughters, hiking, cooking, and exploring new places on family road trips.

Hi I am Annetra, one of the Payroll Specialists here at SJS Accounting LLC. I first entered this field as an office assistant for an accountant/bookkeeper. I was given new opportunities to learn, and helped with many tasks including tax document preparation, invoicing, bank reconciling, accounts receivable, and data entry. I am newer to the payroll world, but I've quickly grown to enjoy the structure and precision it requires. Because of my mentors here at SJS Accounting, each day I am expanding my knowledge to continue to grow in this field.
I have been married 17 years, and we have two kids, a 15-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son. When I’m not working you can find me at one of our kid’s sporting events, traveling, or tackling home improvement projects with my husband.
Desiree
I work on the payroll team at SJS Accounting. Prior to SJS, I worked at Bank of America as Credit Card Assistant, and prior to that I have also worked at an insurance agency. In both roles I worked closely with clients to find the best solutions to any concerns or questions they had, and I would do a lot of the background work on their accounts to ensure they would be in good standing moving forward. I am so happy to be a part of the SJS family! Alyssa is a joy to work with and I’m excited to continue growing in my role as one of her assistants.
I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ, and now live about a twenty-minute drive away in Apache Junction, AZ. Outside of work, my biggest passion in life is my growing family, which consists of my wonderful husband and sweet little daughter. I cannot wait till she is old enough that I can share my passion for arts and crafts with her and her future siblings. I also have always enjoyed anything outdoors or in the mountains. If I could be in a hammock in the trees with a book every day, I would.
